Claim Pets As Dependents on Your TAXES!

They are loved by many as some of us feel they are our children. Pets...that's right..our Pets! We love them, take care of them and enjoy them around us. We pay for them to stay in hotels, fly with us, go on cruises and more so why can't we claim them on our taxes? Well it is time for change, and we should be able to claim our pets on our taxes. Wheels of Consulting spoke with several senators who state that if we can show we want this, it can be voted on. Simply have to show we take care of them and assign them an id number when they get their locator tag inside them. Simple as 1...2...3. So Sign the petition and make this happen.     • Sounds like a good idea to me! At least we are taking care of our animals like our children. Some people get money for their children and don't even take care of them. They use them as "easy" money so they can sit on their lazy ass and not work!!

    • If nothing else, small biz owners should be able to claim office pets on taxes. We can claim our plants, for pity's sake, but not our office pets! Permitting people to claim pets would encourage people to adopt and care for animals, thus easing the burden in shelters and rescue networks.

    • They are like our children. We take them to the vet for preventive health and when they are sick, we feed bath and play with them as well as train them...That takes time and money just like my boys...They are my children as well.

    • My yorkie is my SON. He has health insurance that comes out of my pocket and goes to the vet/dr. just like any child of mine would if i had any. He eats and is clothed in the winter. He also sometimes needs boarding/doggie daycare and grooming just like any child or dependant would. We SHOULD be able to claim pets for these reasons!

    • My dog is like my child he has cloths for the winter often is taken to the groomer and vet. if a pet can have health insurance why cant they be claimed on taxes.. Some might say its a luxury to have an animal but that is oviously a person without a pet.. the only difference between a pet and a child is a social security number.
