Due to the exceptional circumstances last nights X Factor was presented with, which unfortunately resulted in Laura, one of the best acts X Factor has ever seen being voted off the show.

This petition is to ensure that tactical voting can NEVER again be permitted by the judges.

The judges should be focussing all their efforts in being exceptional mentors for the contestants.

By signing this petition you are acknowleging that:
- Tactical voting is NOT permitted.
- Judges DO NOT have the right to vote acts off the show.
- Judges DO have the right to comment on contestants encouraging
them to reach their full potential.
- Contestants are voted off the show by the public vote alone.
- The bottom two acts should have a sing off as per current process
but then the lines are opened again for the public to decide
between the two.
- X Factor is about identifying and maximising talent not peoples
history.

    • i think Lauras being voted off by the judges and keeping in Ruth, who is not even a british born citizen, is an absolute disgrace, Simon Cowell, and Louis Walsh should be ashamed of themselves for voting off the best singer in the competition but surely everyone knows why Simon Cowell kept the spaniard Ruth in .

    • There are acts that deserved to go out on Saturdays show but have been kept in purely because of their sob story and 'difficult life' rather than their talent. Its supposed to be about the singing not who can tug at the heart strings the most!

    • I agree with all the objectives of this petition. This should be a talent show and not a contest of egos. For Judges to vote out talent to maximise their chances of winning is simply ridiculous. Credibility will only be achieved if the best people are in the final - not the people who have the best sob story.

    • Giving Diana a "bye" should have negated any voting on Saturday. There should have been a double "eviction" next week to compensate. Don't like the different genre style - let the contestants shine by singing what suits them. After all, that is what they will do if they win!!!!!

    • X Factor is about the competitors, not the judges. Laura is the most talented singer of the competition, and a real star in the making. The public do support her, as you would find if you gave her a chance to sing again.

    • Dear sir, I was horrified when Laura was voted off the x-factor. Also Austen was one of the best singers. This has ceased to be a fair talent show . Take note Simon .
