  • Todd Rundgren (without question), is one of the most thoughtful and talented songwriters of the past 35 years. His prolific catalog of songs covers a diverse spectrum of musical styles and genres. From his beautiful, timeless ballads and pioneering power pop gems... along with his progressive rock and eclectic fusion compositions to his arena anthems and experiemental musical innovations, Rundgren's induction is long overdue and so richly deserved. Please right this wrong by finally inducting Todd Rundgren into the Songwriters Hall of Fame!

  • This is unreal that Todd has not been given his just due by the R&R and Songwriters HOF. Next Sunday, I will hopefully meet one of my favorite songwriters, Jimmy Webb, and ask him when he/they plan on getting Todd inducted. One of the greatest pop musicians and lyricists of all time...though not as Americana, he belongs in the same breath as Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello, and Jimmy Webb without question.

  • Todd Rundgren's songs, "Hello It's Me," "I Saw The Light" and "Love Is The Answer" are all winners of the BMI Million-Airs Award. They are some of the most performed songs in the BMI repertoire of approximately 4.5 million works. Only about 1,500 titles have achieved "Million-Air" status, or more than 1 million United States radio and television performances. "I Saw The Light" and "Love Is The Answer" are at the Million-Air benchmark at over one million on air performances. This is the equivalent of approximately 50,000 broadcast hours, or more than 5.7 years of continuous airplay. "Hello It's Me" falls under the Three Million benchmark of this category. Which would be equal to over 17 years of continuous airplay. Good enough reasons to induct Todd into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame? I'd say so!

  • I grew up on (parents #134 & #135) Todd music knowing & singing the words to Love In Action when I was around 3yrs old & met Todd when I was 7-I'm now 33 and Todd's music is still a very important part of my world

  • Todd Rundgren could be worthy of the Hall of Fame as a songwriter, artist, guitarist, performer, producer, or video pioneer. The fact that he has amassed so many notable accomplishments in so many different areas should alone be enough. Todd has never advocated for this honor, and he never will. But we, his fans, who know his impact on the face of popular music would love to see his long overdue recognition.
