This is a petition to save and bring back the Formula One Grand Prix back to Adelaide.
The Formula One was such a fantastic event from 1985-1995 in Adelaide. The Formula One brought the best drivers in the world to compete for the ultimate prizes the World & Constructors Championships. We have seen great competitors such as Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna etc. all competing for the World Championship on the last race of the season when it was in Adelaide.
Now this is the time to sign this petition and to bring back the Formula One to Adelaide before Melbourne and Australia lose it forever.
This is one of the most exciting motorsport events in the whole world and it would be a sad day in history if it leaves our country forever. We need the Grand Prix to stay in Australia and return back to Adelaide because we have one of the most famous City-Street circuits in the world today.
We must bring this one year tradition back to Adelaide where it belongs and it would look absolutely amazing to see night races take place in Adelaide on a Sunday night. The atmosphere would be huge with thousands of screaming Formula One fans cheering on for their favourite teams and drivers. The night races in Adelaide would be great for Tourism in our state and to see great drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen etc. on the famous circuit of Adelaide.
This petition will be sent to the South Australian & Australian Government, the FIA & formula1.com. We must show The Premier of SA Mike Rann and Prime Minister Kevin Rudd that this is the most entertaining and action packed racing event and that it should stay in Australia. Also Bernie Ecclestone so we can show him that we are still interested in holding the event.

- I am retired from calcio now, and I never had the opportunity to travel from Ascoli Piceno so see the race as the campionato was still active. Now I have the chance to see this famous street circut and not that boring Melbourne track. There is also a Ascoli supporter I would like to meet there.

- The Govt of the day in SA gave F1 its Australian Birth - the world cheered & marvelled at its success. A decade later and SA had a new Govt, who let it slip away. The Govt of the day in Melbourne promised the world - as Victorians do. And yes the Vic's continue to stuff it up. Bernie, bring it back to its Australian birthplace: "ADELAIDE" - there's no doubt it will again thrive and the World will once again "Cheer and Marvell" at its success.
