We the undersigned, saw the race of the AMP Energy 500 and when it ended, Tony Stewart had won. But, there is a problem, Regan Smith passed Stewart and came out first. Although he was below the yellow line, he was forced down by Tony Stewart, which means, that the pass should have counted. By the time Smith was ready for burnouts, NASCAR changed the results and declared Stewart as the winner. We demand that NASCAR fix the results and put Regan Smith as the winner of the AMP Energy 500 at Talladega.

    • Over the years, NASCAR has shown an open disregard for their own policies. Taking into account other Cup races at Talladega over the years and last year's race at Daytona, it appears that NASCAR is fixing the race in areas they themselves can control to focus on the more popular (and championship contending) driver rather than let the light shine on a driver for claiming his first win. Would they really have lost ratings or support for ruling in Smith's favor? I doubt it, but then again, the Stewart and Toyota fanboys would be huffing about their driver being robbed of a win, and seeing as NASCAR has gone out of their way to give the non-American car manufacturer an advantage, I don't think they would bear to hear it. I have a friend who just resigned from his post with NASCAR (medical director for Cup competition who traveled to every track), and somehow I think that he could sense their bias. Good job, NASCAR. You are driving a lifelong auto racing enthusiast away from your sport.
