Rare's Goldeneye 007, one of the best First Person Shooters of all-time, has currently been canned for release via the Xbox LIVE Arcade on the Xbox 360 due to a disagreement between Microsoft and Nintendo on the proceeds.

Fortunately, it seems that a public outcry is all that is needed to still have this classic title see release. We, the fans, must prove to both Microsoft and Nintendo just how badly we want to see one of gaming's greatest titles re-emerge and enlighten the hearts of many of us Goldeneye/Rare fans once again.

If you truly do want to see Goldeneye re-released on the Xbox LIVE Arcade, then sign this petition. You will be playing your part in the game's future.

    • yes i would like to see GOLDENEYE 64 on xbla and ps3 & wii & i have the game for the 64 so yeah it would be a miracle to have GE64 on virtual consols..what can i say were the people that got nintendo sony & microsoft to where they are now..if it wasnt for us they would be nothing...so yeah i dont think its right that they dont listen to us

    • you must find a way to release this game. it is so great and i promise i will buy a 360 the day this game comes out. already have a ps3, so i'm not going to buy one before then. but yes i will be happy to buy one just to play this masterpiece of a game. please make this happen.

    • Goldeneye is still one of the greatest first person shooters to this day. And by not releasing this it is doing a huge disservice to it's history and it's fans. The Perfect Dark Xbox Live remake showed that there is still a market and demand for this kind of thing. What's more, it's wouldn't require anywhere near the work of making a new game from the ground up. A slight visual upgrade and modern day controls (just like Perfect Dark) is all that's needed. I understand Activision's attempt to bring Goldeneye into the new age meant that they stuck closely to what they knew (obviously i'm talking about Call of Duty), but Goldeneye deserves better.

    • This game is one of the greatest in console history, and was a big part of my youth. To be able to play it again, remastered on my Xbox 360 would be a special experience. This has to happen, especially as i know see adverts for Goldeneye reloaded on the PS3. Regards.

    • The remake is nice I guess but my N64 has long since died and after seeing the excellent Perfect Dark port on XBLA it seems only just that this classic get the same treatment! Please powers that be, do the fans a service and let this game live again one last time!

    • When I first played Goldeneye on my Nintendo 64 around 1998, I fell in love with it. Goldeneye was the first FPS I ever played. I would love for it to come to XBLA. BRING BACK GOLDENEYE 64!

    • Make this game available on xbla. Add new features in the game like the possibility to play other characters in solo campaign instead of only Bond. Add new missions for that. Add coop multi/solo missions. Make a very nice effort.
