    • The Warehouse Theatre has shone as a beacon in the artistically-glum landscape of Croydon, a town seemingly dedicated to making money but not to spending much if anything on artistic matters. To lose this theatre would be nothing short of an artistic disaster, an appalling legacy for the councillors now in charge of the town.

    • Cutting the grant is silly short-termism that will save peanuts while bigger amounts of money are wasted elsewhere. The council should support cultural activities that bring people and trade into the area, and which have the ability to provide all manner of benefits - including valuable training and experience for creative people who benefit our society as a whole.

    • This is disgraceful. In a town that is so often accused of having a culture void there should be increased funding for the warehouse. It just goes to show that the tories are the same old nasty party, obsessed with cuts cuts cuts, whilst some of their members cash at least 3 salaries. Shocking

    • I have been attending the Warehouse Theatre for 27 years, and have brought my family and my friends from London and beyond to share in its excellent work. It is an important part of Croydon's culture and the Council should support it fully, not put it at risk.
