I agree that J.R. Richard, former pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball was one of the greatest pitchers ever for the franchise before a tragic injury cut short his career. I believe that the Houston Astros should honor J.R. Richard by retiring his jersey number 50 in a ceremony at Minute Maid Park.

    • Now, I may not know much about politics or how to run a country, but I know my baseball. JR Richie was the best short stop we ever saw down here in the Astros organization. And I would know that- I owned this team... Or was that the Texans... Whatever, it don matter, the point is: DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!

    • The stare was great and the gas was awesome to see. His stroke awaken me at a very young age to life's sad times. Many are not aware of the hard times he has had after the stroke. Take Care Stay Safe and make it atleast a bright day for baseball by retiring #50.
