We, the undersigned, are formally requesting that the management of WXIX TV Channel 19 in Cincinnati implement Retro TV Network as their primary source of programming for Channel 19-2.
Channel 19's digital channel 2 formerly aired The Tube as their primary source of programming but has stopped carrying this network. At this time there has been no replacement for this void.
Retro TV Network, which can be found at http://www.rtnville.com/, provides high quality programming from the 1960's-1980's, with shows such as Emergency, McHale's Navy, Magnum PI and Greatest American Hero. These programs are rarely found today on broadcast and cable networks. We feel that this high quality programming appeals to our demographic whose programming needs are not currently being met.
Furthermore the people at RTN have digitially remastered a lot of their programming so it is suitable for rebroadcast in HD. So this programming has the content and quality to meet today's broadcast standards as well as our demographic.
Furthermore we feel that this programming compliments the Fox programming currently being offered by Channel 19. It will pull in an audience not currently being served by Fox or Channel 19 and thus will grow WXIX's market share.
It is therefore a win-win for both.
It is again for these reasons that we respectfully request that our ideas be considered and implemented by the management of WXIX TV on Channel 19-2.

- I think since channel 19 probably carried alot of the mentioned programs via syndication, it would be a nice trip back in time to those of us who grew up watching 19 as an alternative to network TV.
