Dear Real,

Recently we witnessed a campaign attempting to deter iPod users from the iTunes Music Store and Apple, and instead purchase songs from REAL Music Store using the hacked & unreliable 'Harmony' technology. This campaign was laughable. News articles posted on your website have had nothing but contradicting replies and complaints, with no followers to your asinine religion. Your petition however brought a tear to my eye. Never before in my life have I seen such a blunder - so far 789 people have destroyed your hypocritical idea of freedom of choice with some hilarious but true comments about the irony of this whole campaign. After all, how can Real Networks complain that Apple doesn't give their iPod owners freedom of choice, when they themselves provide no freedom of choice to their Music Store - there isn't even a Mac version available! Well, I doubt highly that tens of thousands of Mac users will sell their Macs and buy themselves a cheap second-hand Dell running Windows 98 to use your Music Store with a format created by hacking their favourite Music Player and destroying the market of their favourite Music Store.

Because of the humour this petition has provided us, and because the absolute failure (which is RealNetworks) needs to be laughed at for longer, I request strongly that you bring the link to the original petition back to your already dying Web-site, and give people the FREEDOM OF CHOICE to make COMMENTS about you. We request that you don't fear libel or loss of reputation, and you just accept the fact that you are the 'Village Idiot' of the Online Music Industry.

- Real is not a player, it is a computer virus. I tried using their player for the NFL, I quit after the third request for rules from my firewall to different processes for real player. Please go out of business so the NFL will pick up WMP 9.

- Real's 49 cent songs are just a decoy to draw attention to their Rhapsody music subscription crap. When are the greed-heads going to learn????!!!??? Almost nobody wants to rent music! The online subscription services have been around a couple years before iTMS, and they failed. Everyone chose to steal music 'cause at least they could own it permanently. Apple showed how to do it right. As a result iTunes is a huge success, and the support from artists of all styles has been incredible. Who supports Real? MAYBE five goofy guys whose music hasn't been relevant for 25 years. (Devo). I think Steve Jobs and the folks at Apple really love music and musicians, and will write Windows apps and license ipod technology (HP) in order to promote good music. ( and make money ) RealNetworks, on the other hand, seems to view digital music as a goose layin' golden eggs, and they wanna get their hands on the gold, no matter who or what they have to kill in the process. Rhapsody?? It ain't gonna happen.
