India is not new to sexual offenses against women, whether in public transport or in places like parks, cinemas or pubs. However, the present provision of Section 375 of Indian Penal Code does not consider eve-teasing and molestation as criminal offenses.

We request the Government of India to recommend a significant change to the Indian legal system, by making sexual offenses non-bailable, thereby strengthening every womans right to freedom and free movement without fear.

This is an appeal to all responsible citizens of India and the world to react strongly against all sexual crimes. By signing this petition, you will raise your voice against sexual abuse in public transport and places, against discrimination of any kind and unwarranted moral policing.

It is sincerely hoped that the Government takes note of this petition and makes it part of its objectives in upholding womens rights and well being.

    • I feel strong apathy for the leaders of our country for being so misleading, ignorant and opportunists. If MP and Orissa can have non-bailable punishments for sexual offences why cant the entire of India. Why dont we parade the Ram sene or any other IMMORAL orgs along the streets..lets peep into their lives and look at thier immoralities....im sure that every politician today is degrading our culture...By going to pubs...doesnt do anything to out culture..since culture is meant to evolve..and im proud to say that we want a progressive culture...down with this Hindutva Taliban...

    • no human being whether a man or a woman should be subjected to sexual abuse. Sexual offences should be non-bailable to stop men taking advantage of the leniency of our law system
