Dear Sir,

This is a request on behalf of all Indians to remove the reservation system phase by phase. This is a need of the hour to mentally stabilize the people and enable them to work for the development of the country.

I truly appreciate Dr. B. R. Ambedkar for introducing the reservation system around 60 years back when certain classifications and schedules of the poor and deprived people belonging to the backward classes were made and certain special privileges were to be reserved for them so that they could go forward towards the path of success. But Dr. Ambedkar did never thought that the vote bank politics of our country would never let this reservations stop, which were meant only for a limited period.

Everyone agrees that all people in this world are born with equal capabilities. Then why do we not provide equal opportunity to each and every person. I would like to ask you why are you not providing opportunity to the deserving while giving all the opportunities to the undeserving candidiates. This reduces the confidence among the people from unreserved classes and they are not interested to apply for government jobs because most of them are reserved. Education, jobs and even promotions are reserved. Instead of stopping this completely you are increasing it rapidly. The job reservation also discourages the reserved class people to work hard because they know they will get a job even without doing. In this way we are stopping a section of society from working hard. Even the people belonging to the scheduled castes might have a feeling of inferiority if this reservation is not removed.

Apart from the above reasons there are several reasons as why to remove reservations. The people who have enjoyed reservations since 60 years are enough rich to avail it anymore. There are thousands of millionaires among the schedule castes and most of them have jobs now. Now the condition of the unreserved class is becoming worse and even the deserving are forced to stay unemployed. Many Brahmans who are the sadhus and pujaris are staying in extreme poverty. There is no reservation for them. I do not say that we should give the Brahmans a reservation because there are rich brahmins as well. Thus we should remove reservation on the basis of caste as a whole.

We should reserve education on an economic basis and also the physically challenged should get a reservation. It is alright to give reservations to women and the old citizens as well, but not on the basis of caste. The students below poverty line should receive all help and free education, food, scholarship etc, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. This will ensure that this severe discrimination that is going on in India is totally stopped.

There is no argument which can hold reservation on the basis of caste as right. Many have given their lives fighting against this. This is a sin that we are committing by discriminating among people. I hope this petition opens up your eyes which has been closed for around 50 years.
