  • When I read about the cancellation of Sam & Max: Freelance Police my world allmost collapsed. More than I was with Full Throttle 2: Hell on Wheels, which looked terrible and didn't seem to meet up to my expectations, Sam & Max looked like it could've revived the adventuregenre, add back the humor to gaming and supply some fresh breath between all those terrible rip-offs. Who needs another shooter, another Battlefield-like game with ugly graphics and light sabres, who needs another 3rd person action game or another RTS? Gamers don't want to eat the same meat all day and there are stills lots of folkings begging for new adventuregames - now more than ever!

  • Lucasarts............once you were a great, if not the greatest, developer of games. Once, the adventure genre was the greatest genre in pc gaming.........you were a big part of that. Then 3-D took over and everybody forgot about adventures.....a dead genre. But every once in a while there was a developer that proved there was still life in the adventure genre, as long as the published title was of high quality. You could have been the pioneer again maybe in bringing back the adventure genre again..........everybody remembers Indy, monkey island (ok, we got one already), The dig, Full throttle (snif), Grim fandango etc. I'm a big fan of Star wars, but the amount of games is tiresome, I could do well without them for a while eventhough their quality have been on the rise finally. I know gamers are not helping with their copying behaviour, especially with sp games.......but everybody giving up is not doing much for the diversity of games. Pity.

  • Come On LucasArts...remember what games made you big...you started with adventure games and have some pretty good classics under your belt...so why cancell S6M frelance police ? Considering the commotian you made in the games community there is a markte for the game and then again. If there is no market for the game....and it sells bad....you wouldn't even notice it iin your profits....
