Structural adjustments in the administrative setup of Gilgit - Baltistan (so - called "Northern Areas of Pakistan") are vital, overdue, and shall not be delayed, anymore.

We urge the government of Pakistan to ensure effective and honorable representation of the region's two million people in the national mainstream.

We demand creation of an indepedent legislative assembly, indepedent judiciary and a civil services commission. The government has to make sure that the people of Gilgit - Baltistan are not discriminated against at universities, professional colleges and other national centers of learning.
