For over 150 years, St. Mary's has educated and inspired the young minds of Hamilton's downtown core. We, the friends of St. Mary's, implore you to continue to invest in the children and families of this neighbourhood. Closing down this school will sever the web of partnerships and relationships that are key to the revitalization of the downtown core.

The names listed below are those who oppose the closing of St. Mary's Catholic Elementary School and wish to stand up in support of our children, our school and the future of our community!!

    • My parents attened St.Mary's and my sister and I attended this school. This school was one of the first schools built in Hamilton, why would u want to close a school that has been apart of this community for 150 years.

    • This is a great school in a great neighbourhood. I have many memories and I'm sure others do from attending this school. It seems the only option the board emphasizes is closure these day rather than promoting the great school environments some of these facilities provide. Please dont close down this school.

    • I went to St.Marys elementry when I was young and it would be a shame if it closed down. My friends and I have so many memories there and it would be really upsetting to see it go down. Its home of the portuguesse. Please don't close down St.Marys Elementry.

    • Keep the school open the children need there education and it well make schools in the area less crowded. Smaller classes are better.
