    • My brother is in Great Falls Elementary, and if the Mitford Agreement is lost, he will be sent to Fairfield County schools where the special needs classes are not as high of a priority as they are in Great Falls. If Great Falls merges with other schools, the county will be damning my brother to lifelong ignorance.

    • I am a 2008 graduate from GFHS and I participated in the band program for 8 years. Taking away the GFHS and Middle would not only affect the academics it would affect the entire town. Everything else has already been taken away from Great Falls. Taking away the school system is ridiculous and absolutely stupid. We always get the left overs of everything the district gives us. I am a PROUD graduate and a PROUD ALUMNI its still my school and I will do whatever is in my power to try and stop it!!!! WE ARE THE GREAT FALLS RED DEVILS AND WE WILL FIGHT UNTIL THE END!

    • if you close our schools it will not only effect Great Falls it will affect The entire Chester Co. Most of the Great Falls people work in Rock Hill, Charlotte or the Columbia area. If you move our school to Lewisville, knowing that Chester Co. schools are not up to the state standards, most of the people would move closer to work and put their kids in a different school district all together. You would lose students as well as tax payer monies as well as business revenues. This WILL have a negative effect on Chester County. PERIOD

    • The Board has no idea of the problems and the disadvantages that this will have for the students, parents, grandparents and the town of Great Falls. I understand the cost of the operation of the schools in this county are expensive, but this is still going to be a costly situation. This will impact our children the most. Everyone wants to know that their child is safe and being taught by qualified personel no matter what the costs are. This is opening a door to so many problems that I do not think can be justified. We all know of the increase in gangs forming and also the increase in crime in general. With so many people in this county out of work, some people are going to become desperate. Everyone in the county is aware of the accidents on Hwy 9 and Hwy 99 is also a dangerous road. There are parents that work south of 77 in Blythwood, Columbia or Winnsboro, how would these parents be able to take their children to Lewisville? Please think long and hard about these issues.
