We the undersigned oppose the construction of a restaurant with a roof top garden at the Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles where the Memorial Garden currently resides. The Memorial Garden will be destroyed to make way for a four story building that will contain a restaurant to be used as an entertainment center that will be rented out for parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, and receptions. The Memorial Garden is an area for the visitors of the Holocaust Museum to reflect in a quiet area at the end of their tour. We strongly object to dancing, singing, and laughing in a building dedicated to the history and the memories of the Holocaust and Genocide victims who were so viciously terrorized.

- I feel the Museum should be a place of serious reflection of all the injustice in the world and concern for reparation, tolerance and respect for each other.

- Stay with the original concept; this is not meant to be a "party" place. Let's not repeat history

- This is meant to be a solemn place for reflection. There are other places for economic enterprises. This need not be one.

- We should never forget the past, if we do it may be repeated. There are enough places to party.
