I am very exited to hear about the upcoming Captain America film. I have enjoyed the adventures of this legendary hero, and believe now is the perfect time, for such a great hero to be brought to the forefront of people minds, and everything he stands for.

I was equally excited to hear, that as of yet, the lead has not been cast, as I have always pictured one man in this role. It is my hope, that American actor, Steve Burton, would be cast as Steve Rodgers/Captain America, and believe him to be perfect for this role. His physical appearance, is very similar to Cap, but also is a superb actor. He is best known for his role of Jason Morgan on the daytime drama General Hospital, but has appeared in several other films, such as Steven Spielbergs Taken, as Captain Russell Keys, a WWII fighter pilot. He also had a prominent role in the movie Last Castle, with notable actors such as Robert Redford and James Gandolfini!

His fan base from General Hospital, in enormous! He is an amazing actor, and I believe him to be the perfect choice for Captain America, and it is my sincerest hope, that you will consider him during casting for the lead.

    • Oh I can see it now. They can have him in a movie like Scary Movie. Instead of "Not Another Teen Movie" it can be called "Not Another Super Hero Movie". He can play a washed out super hero named Captain America. Just like he does on GH.

    • i have been a captain america fan all of my 38 years i have followed the book up untill my late teens and have loosely followed the book up untill the civil war title which hooked me back to the comic world that and the fact that i have small kids now and have become a home body. my knowledge of captain america is strong,that being said after hearing about the movie i was reluctant to get excited for the reson that i did not want the casting to be a huge flaw that would either distract or showcase the lead more than the storymuch the way stallone did to judge dreed. steve burton hit me last night july 12 09 as i watched the last castle , the throw back soldier look good profile athitic build ( could beef up ) than i look him up and i found this site so he's got my vote
