As consumers, we felt we were purchasing a top of the line washing machine. We are finding out after owning and using it for a minimum of twelve months, that this machine has a manufacturing defect in the main computer of the machine! For a machine of this caliber, the manufacturer is not standing behind the product. Many of us have purchased this machine and after owning for less than two years, an error code of F1 and F51 is displayed. Some consumers have opted to receive help from appliance repair technicians, only to find out that they did not know what the root of the problem was. After repeated phone calls and emails to Sears Canada, consumers are left dissatisfied. Sears Canada has claimed to know nothing about the problem, like it doesnt exist. Some consumers are finding after paying this added expense, the problem is still occurring. This is a serious problem that has occurred often enough that Sears Canada should recall the parts involved or the entire machine. Let it be known that this problem has also occurred in the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, and may also happen in other machines using the same components. It is up to them to stand behind their product whether a warranty is in effect or not, when the problem occurs within a five year time frame since purchase.

- We have experienced the F1 Error, as well as the bleach dispenser becoming stopped up, thus overflowing onto the utility room floor ruining clothes on the floor waiting to be washed. Not impressed by a number of issues.. I don't recommend this product to anyone.

- Sears clearly does not stand behind their products. They have avoided and not returned my requests for reimbursement for service and parts we paid before the recall on the electronic control board. They even came and replaced the control board they installed with the EXACT SAME control board!!!! $329 for a plastic part anyone could install with a screwdriver! We have logged 12 phone calls, and over 6 hours of waiting on hold to be passed on to the next "customer representative". Corporate service did nothing, in fact they were less helpful than regular customer service. Telus had the worst service in the country, but now the award goes to Sears. This expensive washer simple did not live up to it's expectations.

- This is the 2nd washing machine I have purchased at sears in the last 6 years. I will never ever shop for anything at sears again. I will also go out of my way to let other people know about my experiences with sears major appliances.

- I just found this on the web....y johnapolloga on Aug 15, 2009" " F1 code comes on and hitting stop and start sometimes once and sometimes several times and the machine will run. Then during the rinse cycle...it will do it again. Just called the recall number and our washing machine is involved in the recall...but we never received a letter stating this. They told us two weeks to order the parts and then set our appointment up accordingly. If the parts show early...we can call and get an earlier appointment. Seems very simple.

- RE: OASIS from Sears in Cornwall, Ontario. I will not be back with my business, and will discourage others, unless Sears honours their promise. to fix my washer. 1. I called the Sears number given on the recall notice and was told that although my washer had the same symptoms that warranted the recall, my model and serial number weren't covered. I was referred to local Sears store Parts & Service. 2. Parts & Service said they only know what Whirlpool tells them and suggested calling Whirlpool. 3. I called Whirlpool and was referred back to Sears. 4. After several transfers and dropped calls a representative of Sears told me that if the problem was the same as the recalled washers the repair would be covered by Sears. 5. Sears sent a repairman who confirmed that the problem was the control board as in the recalled washers. He didn't have the part but said he'd have it in 2 days. He called 3 days later to say Sears would not honour their promise and that I'd have to call them. 6. I called Sears and

- Have the Oasis washer & dryer. They are 3 years old. My washer displays the F1 code at least 5 times per load and up to 9 times. After researching online, I see I'm not alone with this problem and that Sears is not standing behind their product and its apparent defect.
