The motorcycle community in Singapore would like to kindly request motorcycle access into Sentosa.

We understand the current situation wherein motorcycles are deemed a possible nuisance if allowed entry into Sentosa, leading to possible scenarios such as illegal street racing, and obstruction to pedestrians if motorcyclist park along pedestrian walkways.

However, we do not feel this is a valid justification to simply categorize such a large demographic of motorcyclists together as irresponsible riders that will create such havoc within the resort island. We believe that in todays day and age, with the advance of camera technology, keeping watch of such activity is a simple task to achieve.

Simply slapping heavy fines upon offenders will definitely be enough of a deterrent. Hopeless offenders can be banned from entering the resort island using vehicular means. Please, have faith in the motorcycling community, not all of us are reckless and irresponsible road users. Let us access the numerous attractions and dining establishments within Sentosa.

We look forward to your favorable response.

    • I think once the IR is up, alot of them will come in by bikes. You dont expect us to take the Bus or Skytrain just to go to Sentosa?

    • I do not see any reason why motorcycles are prohibited from Sentosa. Bikers do have spending power too.

    • I have been driving since year 2000 and possess both car and motorbike licences. And from experience, it's the drivers who are more inconsiderate on the roads than riders. Go ahead and let the riders in, riders are usually more careful on the roads then drivers because of the possibility of incurring bodily harm in the case of an accident. It's actually the drivers you have to keep an eye on.

    • I have always wondered why motorcycles were not allowed access into Sentosa. We always have to park our bikes at Harbourfront & walk to Sentosa whereas drivers can easily drive through.

    • If motorcycles are allowed into Sentosa, it could boost the revenue as functions can be held in Sentosa for bikers and their families to enjoy the attractions.

    • Please do allow Bikers into Sentosa. Please do consider that our presence will only serve to add and increase the vibrance of the island-getaway heaven. Thank you.
