We, the students of UCSD, wish to express our disapproval of plans to reduce or eliminate the UCSD Arriba and Nobel shuttle services.

    • I prefer using the City Shuttle over the MTS buses because it runs more frequently, and I can get errands done more quickly. I don't have a car, so I rely on the City Shuttle to get off campus. It would be a great disservice to all UCSD students if the City Shuttles were discontinued.

    • This is the only form of transportation to campus that I feel is reliable in estimating how long it takes me to get to campus. If the shuttle service is removed, I am certain I will have a more difficult time arriving to class on time on a regular basis!

    • I do not think the UCSD shuttle should be eliminated or reducecd because the cityshuttle is an indirect route to campus which would take much longer to get to campus. Also, if everyone was to take the cityshuttle it would once again leave the students at the Nobel stops standing on the sidewalk as all the arriba stops fill up the buses(just like before the new arriba and nobel shuttle system). Not only would it leave the students at the nobel stops standing on the sidewalk but also the regular students and adults who use the bus to get to work(like residents on via mallorca ave and gilman dr) standing on the sidewalk waiting for the next bus that may also be full.
