I think that the original idea for the movie that it should of stayed more true to the games. I think that the live version release was very disappointing casting milla jovoich playing her usual character kicking every ones ass like in fifth element rather than be more realistic to the characters of the game.
To me the game was about the great suspense and music and spooky environments, which the movies never had they used a action take on it to rake in the crowds rather than use the suspense and cleverness that the games had.
Originally George a romero was supposed to direct and had a good cast lined up but he was axed but it amazes me that they could do that considering he wanted to stay more true the games. I think in the end they wanted to get a fresh director one that was a lot younger, which is fair enough the director that did it had done some good films that I liked but he decided to make up his own characters an hashed up his own version of the game which I thought was totally wrong.The whole point of transferring the game to the screen is to see your game heroes in live action and then build from there and if your not going do that I kind of don't see the point of making the film.
I was very disappointed in the movies and , I felt that the resident evil games missed out on a huge success in motion picture.I watched the street fighter2 animated movie and was totally blown away by it,I thought it was out of this world and really paid tribute to the game. I just wished that somehow they could do the same to the resident evil games. If they couldn't adapt into a live version film at least make into a manga film because it would be the perfect style for it with monsters and big action sequences.I just hope they remake it the way it should of been.
I hope there's fans out there that agree with me.

- I have played all of the RE games and loved the suspense especially in the REmake, when I heard of the RE movie I couldn't wait. I expected Jill, Chris, Barry, and Wesker at least but no, i got these random characters that didn't pertain to the game at all and Alice, who is awesome and all but this was not suppose to be some kick-butt action movie, but a suspenseful movie in which the focus was on surviving. Also, what made REmake so great (besides its graphic and what not) were the monsters. The hunters, Neptune, Lisa Trevor, Chimeras, and especially the crimson heads, and again I was dissapointed when all i saw were zombies and ONE licker. The licker doesn't even make its appearance until RE2. So i think every true RE gamer including myself would be grateful to have a true RE movie dedicated to the games.

- the 2nd movie killed the 3rd game and the best zombie ever nemisis was made out to be a weaking went in the game he was almust imposable to kill and now they are puting wesper in the 3rd film this will make the fanlike me more upset

- Yes!!! A movie based on REmake would be awsome. All that backstory, from Wesker's betray to Lisa Trevor. So many cool monsters, like Lisa, crinsoms, Tyrants and hunters. Make the movie. But make it all CGI. Capcom are great with CGI, prerendered backgrounds and all that stuff. It will be awsome. Just get a good script writter this time round.

- get Romero's script and dump Anderson, Romero is the king of zombie movies and is faithful to the games. I think everyone will agree that his version of the movie would be way better if they read the script.

- I love the Resident Evil game series! The character are brilliant and so is the plot itself. When I heard they were making a movie first time round I was really happy, but when I found out none of the original characters were in it I was greatly dissapointed! If the director was Japanese or a great fan to the games themselves I'm sure it would be much better! Seeing Chris, Jill, Barry, Wesker, Claire, Leon, Rebecca and so on on the big screen battling zombies would be excellent I'm sure. Please make a movie remake! ^_^

- I think that any videogame movie should have the most relevance possible to the game itself. just by seeing the trailer of the movie only am I turned off to watching it. If one were to make a movie based on a game, it should actually be based on the game and not the concept.

- Make Wesker a main character not a person who only lasts an hour in a movie and dies at the end. Please remake all movies. Start off with Resident Evil Zero and continue from there. Very good actors, directors and producers are needed to make this great. A large budget is also needed to make the movies great. Come on Capcom just think what you guys will get out of this.
