Over two years ago, my friends and I heard about this little movie called Skinwalkers, and since we're big werewolf fans, naturally, that alone got our interest. We heard that it was going to be put out by Lions Gate films, and the creatures were going to be made by Stan Winston. Everyone seemed gung-ho about it. And the interviews and articles came out and everyone was excited and that it was going to be story-driven, and character-driven, but still be a nice, hard, R-Rated movie. And we were so excited, and thought it would be a really good werewolf movie, since there hasnt been a really good werewolf movie in years. And we thought that since it was being put out by Lions Gate, plus having Stan Winston involved in the project, it would avoid becoming another Cursed.
And now, over two years later, this movie was delayed for no reason over, and over, its release date screwed up, its theater count cut in half, its rating changed and ruined, and the result is a movie that has been scorned by critics and moviegoers all over the place. This movie has been completely butchered; it's blatantly obvious that a lot of material has been cut out. After the suicidal theatrical release, I was hoping that Lions Gate would remedy this with the DVD release, since they have always been good with DVD releases, putting out unrated versions and adding bonus material.
Instead we got the badly-edited, badly-dubbed, PG-13 version, and were supposed to be happy that were getting a few deleted scenes as a bonus?
We just want a better version of the movie on the DVD, and at least one that's accurate about the film's running time. The back of the DVD says that the movie is 110 minutes, which equals an hour and fifty minutes, and instead it's an hour and thirty minutes.
I'm sick and tired of seeing werewolf movies time and time again get screwed over. Cursed, Blood & Chocolate, Skinwalkers in particular. Even Trick r Treat (not to spoil anything) has werewolves, and was coming out at a perfect time, with internet hype and tons of praise from screenings. Then Warner Bros. delayed the movie indefinitely. So many movies, even ones that do poorly at the box office, get unrated or director's cut, double dips, so why not a movie that has a trailer promoting its DVD release which includes scenes not in the movie or in the deleted scenes?
If anyone feels the same way I do, please sign this.

- I was really looking forward to this movie, and the obvious edits and PG-13 rating really disappointed me. It's obvious from promotional stills and even a new, DVD release trailer that there was much more cut from the film than the deleted scenes showed. This movie deserves an unrated cut. If Alone in the Dark can get a double dip, Skinwalkers should get a double dip.

- I would love to have the unrated version of Skinwalkers and would definitely pay to own it, even though I own the one that has already been released. I have waited for this movie for over 2 years and was sorely disappointed. At least let us fans have the unrated version.

- I'd buy it the day it came out. Skinwalkers had the most potential of any recent werewolf movie and I'd love a version of the movie the way it was originally.

- When I heard the dvd was being released I was so excited because I just knew we would get to see the unrated version of the film before it was edited down to the PG-13 movie but instead the one shown in the theaters was released. Now I did buy that dvd but I guarentee you alot more people as well as myself would be willing to pay for the unrated version, the one we'd been waiting to see ever since we first heard about this movie in pre-production. Give the fans what they deserve and release the uncut, unrated Skinwalkers that we all want to see.

- Lionsgate films release uncut, unrated versions of the Saw films, but when it comes to a film that isn't as big or well know they choose to be all politicaly correct. Why don't they just listen to the dvd buying public and release UNRATED VERSIONS of all there HORROR and ACTION films they would make more money.

- Release this film uncut, because i enjoyed it, but could tell alot of the violence had been cut. The censoring was so obvious, not to mention, the inaccurate running time on the back of the box. 110 minutes would have been the run time for the R-Rated version i assume. Come on, they can't even get the box labelled correctly? If the film really was supposed to be 110 minutes, and not a mere 91 or 92 minutes, then why not inform people of exactly how extensive the censoring and editing was, so people know to avoid even watching a severely censored PG-13 version of the film? And on top of that...i thought even the version we got stuck with was worse then PG-13 anyways! So why doesn't lionsgate just respect the horror fans and give them the REAL 110 minute R-Rated version of the film, instead of disrespecting horror fans such as myself so extensively. 110 minutes down to 90-something? come on, give me a break. And all to try to make more money and get a bunch of preteens in the theatre.

- I've seen both the R rated version and the crappy PG-13 DVD released version, I was so upset when I bought this DVD that I almost took it back, while all the movie channels I see this on are showing the R rated version, give us a good Version of this movie on DVD, and Unrated would be very nice...
