Hartlepool Borough Council have banned skateboarding at the War Memorial, any skater found skating there will be fined 500!
Although Hartlepool does have a skate park it is a unsafe place which is why the War Memorial is used.

We urge you to sign out partition which will be submitted to Hartlepool Borough Council (although i doubt it will do much good) to have the skate park moved to more safer premises.

    • I think it's pretty gay that they've banned skating there... its hardly ever the war memorial itself that gets skated on anyway - all the chores kicking their footballs at people is a lot more dangerous in my opinion

    • The current Skatepark could fit into a quarter of the main area within the 'ghost townesque' Jacksons Landing building at the Marina. Why not create a badly needed leisure facility there where the quality skaters in this town can maybe compete against other like minded individuals without the fear of having their boards/bikes/clothing /shoes (yes it happens!), taken from them by numpty gas sniffing fools. It also happens to be a good spot where water sports activities could be coordinated safely. Another corner for a five a side/badminton court. This lot are gonna get hungry and thirsty so turn the end into a bar/eatery. Who knows, we might even get some public/lottery money to pay for it all.

    • They should move it im not sure were but i think they should because after every friday we have to go to millhouse centre and ask for a sweeping brush so that we can sweep it up, and i think the flood lights should work for on the nights.
