As I fan of 'Shadow of the Colossus' I want to express first my extreme displeasure at the idea of making of 'Shadow of the Colossus: The Movie" and secondly my wish that the production should stop.

By attempting to film this revered videogame you're alienating and upsetting the very people you wish to sell your product to, the fans. This is not something you can revamp and resell to us, it is an experience that cannot be replicated on the big screen.

    • No really, this is one step too far, there is no way that this can be made into a film whilst maintaining faithfulness to the source material, as has been shown in almost every film of a game.

    • This is completely absurd. What's worse is the choice of writer... JUSTIN MARKS?! Please no, Please say it isn't so. PLEASE SONY, STOP THIS MADNESS. At the very least a GOOD writer could've been hired, how about one that has played the game and has an artistic vision -cough-Del Toro-cough-? Marks is not that person. THE GAME IS ART, it is NOT a Lord of the Rings-epic, DO NOT MAKE THIS FILM, OH PLEASE. Or at LEAST get rid of Marks, oh please, oh please, oh please Sony, please please, LISTEN TO THE AUDIENCE, TO THE FANS OF THE GAME, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT DO IT.

    • This is just an apparent cash in on a dearly loved game, that with hollywoods proven track record will not get the attention it so very much deserves.

    • I'd even be possibly acceptive if they changed the damn producers and writers... This game is nothing to be toyed around with, even if it is just a game.. It was more of an emotional roller coaster of art.

    • By attempting to pay homage to this brilliant game, you are in fact defiling it. I will be boyotting the film if it is released. SOTC and its spiritual precurrsor Ico are expericences that can not, and should not be duplicated.

    • Only an artist could replicate such an icredible game into movie form. Not just any artist either, only one who has played, understood and loved the game for what it is. Hollywood is a croc, they'd ruin any story for a quick buck. Disgusting.

    • Everyone who played the game marvelled at its artistry and emotional depth. You won't get the same reaction if it becomes a film, let alone one written by the tadpole who wrote 'Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-li'.

    • Shadow of the Colosossus is just a game, but it's not "just a game" to me. It has great value to me in so many ways. It is art to me. Please, I beg of you--do not translate this into film. I am certain association would hurt the game's image as many game films do. So much could go wrong in this great task.
