- I am Native American born in the 50's. Song of the South was my favorite movie. I loved Uncle Reemus and Burr Rabbit. I would love to have my grand children enjoy those characters too.

- Let the viewer be the judge. If you have raised your children to respect others, they will know whether it is racist or not.

- The message of this film is beautiful and has always been one of my favorites. My family history has slaves and I'm offended that Disney won't release this film. This "was" America's past and the messages taught through the br'er rabit stories are that the disadvantaged prevail with determination.

- I loved the movie Song of the South. It taught racism is a learned behavior, one is not born with it! It shows children as they are today, all colors being friends. No one in their right mind would think slavery is okay. However not all slaves were treated badly, BUT quickly I admit many if not most were! There are exceptions to everything. Disney not releasing the film shows they are held captive by NAACP. Film companies selling sexually explicit films show they are held captive by the moral lapse of today society. Isn't being held captive the same as slavery?

- Please don't keep this wonderful film from the next generation of children, I watched this film as a child & would love nothing more then to share it with my children as they have seen every other Disney film.

- Hi , All the best to you and yours. Please let us be realistic, in our times, although filled with thier own types of turmoil, children as are adults are exposed to realities, right or wrong. This movie , which i saw as a youngster did not in any way what so ever influence my thoughts on race relations. The beauty of friendship which ultimately is the gist, should be allowed to shine on. Zippity do da, Be realistic , Zippity day there is not a reason you can tell me this should not be enjoyed. I am white, have multiracial grandchildren and would not worry about them seeing this work of art. Sometimes people need to just be realistic to the times they live in and the past they came from. Love to all.
