The following persons wish to make known their anger at the Scottish Premier League's ("SPL") decision to deny Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC the right to take up their place in the SPL (on 1st June 2004). We would also like to protest against the SPL's management of the Scottish game as a whole, and to call for the Scottish Football Association ("SFA") to take control of the administration of all leagues in Scotland. This, in our opinion, is the only way that the Scottish game can progress

It is an absolute disgrace and we are now the laughing stock of the world! the split?? 10,000 all seater?? no promotion / relegation for 2 years?? get a grip of yerselfs!     • I think its a disgrace that Caley have been blocked in gaining promotion. I understand the point of Partick who spent money to get Firhill to standard but football should be winner and Caley being promoted. Scottish Football will continue to be a laughing stock while the SPL remains a closed shop.

The very name 'Premiership' signifies the fact that the said league will feature a couple of teams which dominate and then a lot others who cannot match the club in terms of wealth.     • I'm disgusted that after adhering to the rules regarding groundshare as requested by the SPL and by the due dates, that 4 clubs have today decided to deny ICT their place in the 'elite' league. Those clubs should be ashamed of themselves and I hope they're proud because they've made the SPL a laughing stock throughout the UK! I urge the SFA to do the correct thing and reverse this rediculous decision.
