Stop the Closure of the Stanley Park Farmyard

The residents of Vancouver, BC, the Lower Mainland and other communities of BC, communities, provinces and countries beyond ask that the Stanley Park Farmyard not be closed and that we are given and additional 60 days to investigate other funding sources for the Farmyard.

    • i was born in vancouver and visited stanley park as a child with my dad now he is gone and we cant let these kind of memories be lost from small children with their dads

    • closing it means one less way for children and city dwellers to learn where meat in their diet comes from. it's shameful how disconnected our population is from its food sources. closing the SP farmyard doesn't make sense considering our drive to become the greenest city on earth now does it?

    • This is an important place for children in the city to get a chance to interact with animals that they may not have a chance to otherwise. I am furious with the parks board for voting to cut this program and if it goes through will not vote for any of the current board members for reelection!

    • I grew up in Vancouver and loved going to the farmyard. It brings back warm memories and then we would go see the rest of the zoo and the bird santuary. The Otters were also a highlight. Please do not closed this memorable place.
