Valve should work on making their steam platform, and all the games that run on it, compatible with linux. Linux is becoming more and more popular in the home desktop market. More and more companies are making steps to make linux more user friendly and accessible including major companies like dell which now offers computers that come with ubuntu pre-installed on them. So I think that game companies like Valve should take a steps towards making linux compatible games.

    • I already wanted to buy several games from Steam to play under Linux, unfortunately there's no guarantee that it'll run with Wine (Graphics Cards are ATI & Nvidia) - so please consider in providing native Linux platform-support for Steam ! Thanks ! :)

    • Consider: a) you now have OpenGL in the Source engine, and WebKit in Steam - technically, that's the largest ground covered. b) Contrast how only recently did Apple start using decently powered GPUs in their hardware, to the wealth of hardware Linux has access to (almost the same as Windoze, although Nvidia is still arguably better than ATI)
