  • I have been a major fan of the Morning Show. I often found myself defending Star to friends who did not understand my affinity for Star and the show. That will NOT take place this time! I thought Star was a misunderstood, rebel. This stunt however was the proverbial straw. No, I am not a personal friend of any of the victims of the plane crash, but Star's actions were disgusting and obscene! The station has afforded him so much freedom and I appreciate that, but I feel he has taken it way too far and he needs to understand that his extreme behavior is hurtful. He has apologized and that is a first step. While I do not know if he should be removed, there should be clear consequences that convey to him that what he did was inappropriate. This may involve an unpaid leave, or a suspension of some sort. I am not sure, but what I am sure of, is that I will continue to communicate my feelings to anyone. I also plan on sending a letter to Emmis Communications and Hot 97 advertisers.

  • We should Boycott Radio Station Hot97!!!! regardless if Star is removed from the station. It's time to send a message that the degradation of our people will no longer continue to be tolerated. Quality programing should not only be reserved for listeners of white radio stations. Apologies are no longer acceptable, they were sorry for Wendy Williams now it's Star. Until we set higher values and moral standards we can't expect outsiders to respect us. At the end of the day controversy relates to high ratings, high ratings equate to huge advertising dollars. There are a million Stars out there just waiting to be Hot97's next coon.

  • I think it would be in your best interest to terminate this Star person(if you call him that) he has done more than cross the line, because several other listeners and myself has decided to band Hot 97 and 98.7 kiss, because to my understanding your company own 98.7 Kiss FM too. Personally Hot 97 lost me as a listener several months ago because of something Star said that I found offensive. I would love to come back as a listener you will just need to take out your trash. Thank you

  • One thing that you do NOT do is direspect the deceased. Everyone knows this. Or everyone SHOULD know this! Friend or foe ... loved one or despised arch-rival ... you show RESPECT when someone's life ends (especially by way of tragic premature means). Look around online (in particular at the forums over at Support Online Hiphop: http://www.sohh.com & http://www.sohh.com/forums ). There is definitely some discussion going on there, and also via people by way of e-mail. While other radio stations/programs were paying tribute to her ACCOMPLISHMENTS in the entertainment industry ... who goes ahead and makes "light" of her passing (and in the process the lives taken of the other victims aboard the plane)? Sad, sad, sad ... R.I.P. Aaliyah and ALL individuals who's lives were taken due to the ill-fated plane's crash.
