We, the listeners of Hot 97 (WQHT) and family/friends/fans of Aaliyah Haughton, were outraged when morning show host Star made fun of the death of Aaliyah on August 27th 2001. Star has done horrible things in the past but this is the one that topped them all. Someone that would show total disrespect to the point of making fun of a person's death on the air for thousands of listeners to hear does not need to be on radio. Can you imagine the pain and heartbreak that the listeners felt when Star made a mockery of Aaliyah's death? Sure you didn't, because you were so worried about how many ratings you were going to get that day. Therefore, we are asking that you dismiss Star of his duties on Hot 97 (WQHT). We are also outraged at the fact there was no disciplinary action was taken. We now see that you are in it for the ratings and don't really care about what is said on your radio station and don't care about your listeners. We are here to say that such disrespect is NOT tolerated. If no action is taken after this petition is presented to you, this will result in a total boycott of Hot 97 (WQHT), by the listeners as well as the artists.

You know what I think, I trully belive that Star is a very degradind individual and he ahas no respect what so ever for the celebrities ir anyone else. It is as if he was never trained or have discipline. Dont he dare come on the show and disrespect anyone its not just and someone should put a stop to it. A joke is a joke but this is beyond. How rude and crude and he is a fool without the right mind and respect. Put him off or else Hot 97 The hottest station for hip hop and R&B will get no love and appreciartion from a lot of lissteners. And Star if you ever read this I know you are going to hate and talk shit but I will not stoop down to your level and hate on you I was not raised to be an idiot. I was raised to be a person. I just want to say that, that is one of the most ignorant things a person could do. What if you died and someone on the radio mocked you and they took it completly overboard?
