The US government, both executive and legislative branches, is spending billions in our money to prop up companies in the financial services and other arenas who have failed to manage their risk. Now in addition to ridiculous fees we are charged by these same companies, they are stiff arming us to "donate to the cause"; not only for these bailouts, but the pork barrel projects they are putting in the bills to bribe each other for votes to get them passed. We the American people are asking for an end to this insanity. Stop using our taxes to pay off the failures of overpaid and under responsible corporate leaders.

- Yes corporate welfare needs to end. Start by ending unnecessary taxpayer subsidies for big oil to the tune of $4 billion a year when they make $18 billion each year on their own and may make even more with high gas prices. Close the loopholes in the tax code allowing these subsidies and redirect them to smaller renewable clean energy companies instead -- stop rewarding fossil fuel companies for dirtying the environment which threatens public health/safety and instead invest in clean renewable energy change the incentives. Big Oil doesn't need the subsidies anyways smaller companies particularly renewable ones might need it. Pass welfare reform, strengthen Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid social welfare programs for seniors, veterans, the disabled, poor, unemployed etc. Big Oil can afford to continue without the subsidies. Smaller companies might not be able to though. Also pass the Currency Reform & Fair Trade Act to fight unfair foreign currency manipulation by way of tariffs and subsidies.
