    • In diffacult economic times we cannot afford another election; particularly when another election cannot bring any postive change. I do not support Stephen Harper, BUT I do support democracy and Canadians need to let democracy work. We voted in a conservative government so we should live with it for a full term. It would be nice, however, if Flaherty could get with the program? His understanding of economics and the Canadian economy are embarrasing.

    • Why are we having an election, again? There is a burning issue that warrants our attention as a national electorate and as global citizens. It is the foundation stone of our very existence, yet are any of our current leaders willing to put their blue, red or orange necks on the line to champion it? Let's stop pondering the existence of climate change - it's happening - so, what's the Canadian and global strategy to deal with it? Come on board to the new millennium and make talking green politics and green economics the forefront of our vision. A Canadian leader should be willing to be inclusive, collaborative, fearless and bold in vision... our vision... for Canada. We do need political change, but it is not due to a minority government. The type of "House" cleaning needed will not occur with an election at this time. That would be a great Canadian embarrassment and a colossal waste. Here's my democratic choice: You've got my vote for a non-vote!

    • It is about time that all the parties involved in the government figure out that the point of the exercise is to effectively GOVERN the country with the group of MPs elected, not to pursue party or personal agrandization. What the Government forgets - whichever party happens to be in power - is that the Government consists of all MPs, not just the ruling party. Time to learn how to play together, girls & boys.
