I am appealing to the British Columbia Ministry of Enviroment and the British Columbia Ministry of Forests for the abolishment of the slaughter of the Chilcotin Wild Horses. We demand that these horses be protected and preserved as an important part of Canadian History. The horrific practice of shooting wild horses for 'wolf bait' must cease. My signing of this petition states that I, the above and undersigned, will NOT tolerate this misuse of my tax dollars, a misuse that is ultimately MURDERING AN ANIMAL IN COLD BLOOD.

I did not intend my tax dollars to be used for this in the first place, and I demand that my tax dollars be used, if the wild horses must be culled, to place the horses in loving adoptive homes, and not to slaughter houses.

I DEMAND, AS A CANADIAN, THAT THIS SLAUGHTER CEASE AND DESIST!

    • These horses can be tamed & Trained. Just ask famous horse trainer Monty Roberts. Mustangs make great saddle horses.

    • Thanks to the Sun newspaper for bringing this horrible situation to our attention. It is not only inhumane to the horses, it is victimizing those who choose to hunt and shoot these animals by providing much needed income. I'm sure most of the hunters would not normally kill any of the wild herd.
