Look Up In The Sky! It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's....another reboot!? As of August 22, 2008 Warner Bros. Studios have announced that the next chapter in the "Superman" franchise will not be a direct sequel to the amazing Bryan Singer re-launch but yet ANOTHER reboot of the character. Brand new characters, plot, and worst of all, director.
Warner Bros. felt that $200 million domestic was not enough of a box office smash to continue forward in the current iteration of Superman. The reason that "Superman Returns" was such a fantastic and poignant piece is because it was a return to form to the epic first two chapters of the Christopher Reeve movies lovingly directed by Richard Donner. A brand of movie magic that has been missing from Hollywood for years. The sheer joy of cinematic escape and believing that a man can fly....again. What Warner Bros. is doing to "Superman" is the same thing Marvel did to The Incredible Hulk. They took a chance on a fresh perspective from the unproven hand of a maverick director. Found they were unhappy with the results and went back to square one with a brand new movie, cast, and tone. However the difference here is that Ang Lee's "HULK" was a TERRIBLE movie and needed a fresh start.
"Superman Returns" was a brilliant and bravura epic that blended old elements of the beloved Reeve films and introduced the concept of family into Superman's life. I urge any fan of the "S" to sign this petition which will go straight to Warner Bros. Studios letting them know that the man of steel is safely in the hands of Bryan Singer.

- Sorry, but a reboot is completely bullsh... and a waste of money! We all know where Superman comes from! We all know who is his Ark Enemy = Luthor! I don't wanna see this again! It's time for some new enemys and more unique action-scenes! My advice to Warner: Take Singer and Routh & Co again and let them produce a great sequel to Returns and all fans and new audiences will be happy, i am sure! And don't forget the excellent music of John Williams!
