The Star Wars RPG Community would like to have access to a character generator. There have been several free non-profit character generators created that were later ordered to cease and desist for licensing and copyright infringement issues. This petition is for the company with the licensing rights to a Star Wars RPG Character Generator to either produce and release one, or grant permission for one or more of the character generators already in existence to be distributed.

    • It is very useful, especially for a GM, to have a computer tool to gather all info about NPC's and other gear in.

    • As we move into the new millenium or the digital age, PC -- whether it be a desktop, laptop, or a personal digital assistant -- has become our creature comfort for organizing our routine tasks. This also includes leisure. To have an electronic aid for the Pen-and-Paper Roleplaying Game would be a great convenience for fans of Star Wars role-playing. IOW, in supporting Wizards' Star Wars Core Rulebook, you support yourself with the revenue from the sale of this electronic aid.

    • The Okina-Rdae generator is the type of quality product the gaming community usually only dreams about. If you will not produce a product to support the Star Wars RPG yourselves, please allow the author to resume distrubuting his work. Thank you.

    • This would mean a great deal to the fans of Star Wars and in no way would harm the business you have created. We already owe you a great debt Mr. Lucas for you creating the wonderful galaxy of Star Wars, but this one thing would be a great addition.

    • I am a GM for two campaigns and play in three others, a Character Gen would greatly help my ability to create NPCs quicker and easier then those stat blocks found in WoTC's source books.

    • To be honest, I don't use character generators much, and wouldn't pay for one. However, this is a tool that so many people I know found useful, I can't help but feel like taking it away has been a huge loss for the entire SWRPG community. Please let people with the time and skills to present these tools to the public on a not-for-profit basis the ability to do so.
