    • Production on Akira needs to be stoped. Something should seriously be done about this. I have loved this Six Volume Masterpiece(Akira written and illustrated by Katsuhiro Otomo) since I was 13. I cannot express in words how much this "news" has disturbed me. Now that we know that they have changed the setting to "Manhattan" we can only imagine what other changes they are going to make. Who here is with me and willing to tackle this problem! This is absolutely ridiculous and should be stopped at once. If they are going to make the film MAKE IT RIGHT! That means all Japanese cast and Japanese setting.

    • Akira is perfect the way it is. Leave it to America to destroy all that is good. America has no more writers to create new and unique ideas. America is constantly raping the super hero genre and now they look to rape the Anime genre. If they really want to bring back Akira, all they have to do is Re-Release the original on the big screen. I own it of course but I would pay to see it in the theatre.
