S.O.S MARGATE FOOTBALL CLUB (EXPANDED)
We here at Margate F.C. are desperately tring to get back home playing again at our beloved Hartsdown park ground. Pulled down ready for re-buld some 3 yrs ago, developers pulled out. Left with bulldozed ground. Had to find alternative investors. Alternative playing arena's some miles away. New investors now acquired, but local council blocking our way forwrd. Continuos delaying tactics by them. Investment is now secured, developers are ready to start work. Time limit set for re-build by football conference, ruling boby. Time running out fast. Continuos delays again by council. All relevant details of re-build are in to council but still they refuse to give go-ahead. Project seems extremely viable. Council and club now have 28 days to come to a final decision at long last. Council have been seen not to want a football club in the town, proably going for added income to their revenue intake by building on land. We are asking for your support against the oppression against our once very successfull club. Against football and non-league football clubs in particular. Save our national game at ALL levels. Football is our National sport and is enjoyed by millions of children as well as adults all over the world. We welcome your names and comments and most of all your support on this a a matter in extreme urgency. You could be the saviour of MARGATE FOOTBALL CLUB. Many thanks.

- I think Thanet District Council should be ashamed of the way they have conducted themselves. In the final analysis, if this scheme is not viable, the club will fold and the land will revert to the Council. What is their problem? Either the scheme works and everyone benefits, or it fails and the Council gets the land back.
