Attention UT President William Powers, Men's Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds, and Head Coach Mack Brown,
The BCS polls are out, ranking the Oklahoma Sooners ahead of our Texas Longhorns despite the facts that we had matching records and that we beat them 45 - 35 on a neutral site. Fans everywhere realize that this is an injustice -- but there is a question of blame. We should not blame the voters, theirs was a tough decision.
We should, however, blame the BCS system. This system continues year in and year out to fail in giving the most deserving teams a shot at the national title. It is clear to the fans that a college football playoff would alleviate our problems by giving all of the teams their opportunity.
The University of Texas should send a powerful message in favor of a playoff system by boycotting the BCS bowls this year! We should not lend legitimacy to a flawed system by taking the BCS's table scraps.
We ask that you reject ANY invitation to a BCS bowl and instead, accept the invitation of The Cotton Bowl. By doing this, we can send the signal that we would rather play in the traditional premier Big XII/Southwestern Conference Bowl than participate in the Fiesta Bowl that will leave us with an inferior opponent and no shot at the national title.
Texas is a proud state, and ours is a proud school. We should not accept the insult that we have been dealt by the BCS!

- Let the players vote. If they don't want to go play in the BCS, they shouldn't have to. If they want to go, I'll support them, if they don't, I'll support them.
