Dear Andy Schmidt and IDW Publishing,

Transformers Fans the world over want TRANSFORMERS #81!

In a recent Q+A Simon Furman spoke of his interest in continuing the original Marvel Transformers universe and that doing so from #81 would be his personal preference.

The fans that buy Transformers comics dearly love many of the varied continuities, but this is THE original and in some opinions, the best.


We will purchase this comic.

We will walk into comic book stores each month, buy it online, buy the trades and special editions, and give it to our children.

This is a continuity we know and love.

Please hire Simon Furman to write this ongoing comic series!

    • Definately bring back the original Transformers continuity from #81 with Furman, Wildman, and Baskerville. It was a hit when the series was cancelled and it will be a hit once again with old fans and new fans!

    • Twenty years ago, or thereabouts, the one and only letter I ever wrote to a comic company was one to Marvel lamenting the end of their Transformers comic book series. For me, those versions of the characters will always be the "real" versions, and it would truly fill my heart with joy to see them in action again, two decades later. You can be certain I would be fighting to be first in line for every issue, and would very likely double up and buy the TPBs as well. This would make my year. Please, give it a shot.

    • Have waited almost 2 decades for this. Some of my fondest memories growing up involve reading this series. Even won Countdown in the UK comic. Would love 2 see neo G1 characters such as Acid Storm as well.
