This petition is an attempt to convince Sony Computer Entertainment to remake their classic Playstation One video game, The Legend of Dragoon. I havent seen too many petitions circulating around the internet concerning this game, so I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and start my own petition.

This is easily one of my favorite video games, despite its old age. The game is very long(which I like; the longer the better) and it has tons of bosses which require some strategy to defeat. In addition, the story is very addicting and you are left wondering what will happen next. The music is also very unique, and the music that plays during battles depends on where you are or the kind of boss that you are fighting(while in most role-playing games, the same battle music is always played).

The Legend of Dragoon, while a terrific game, could be even better if it were remade. I bet that many fans of this game would agree that it would rock with enhanced graphics and voiceovers instead of written dialogue. Here is a list of how The Legend of Dragoon could possibly be improved in a remake:

How The Legend of Dragoon Could Be Improved
---Updated graphics
---More voiceovers
---More music
---Even more added to the story
---More sidequests
---Can explore worldmap more freely
---Easier to level up characters
---Easier to earn money/obtain items
---Have a pause/reset feature
---Stay in dragoon form longer during battles
---Being able to transform a character from their dragoon form back into their human form at any time(without having to wait for the dragoon turn to end)
---Being able to use items while in dragoon form
---Characters can carry more than 32 items
---Characters have more HP and MP
---Maybe more than 3 characters in a battle(it is shown during certain parts of the game that everyone fights in battles since they all travel together)
---Everyone receives the same amount of experience after battles, instead of the experience being divided among the characters
---More dragoon magic and magic not as expensive to cast
---Have an item that fully revives a character(s) to maximum HP/ Have an item that cures all status changes on a character(s)
---Being able to switch additions while in battle
---Make timing for additions and counterattacks a little easier
---Guarding can restore more HP
---Easier to run from battle, if needed
---Reduce frequency of random encounters
---Being able to switch between characters turns during battle
---Save points have healing function
---Characters can equip more than one accessory
---The equipment in the menu doesnt look all the same
---Speed stat easier to raise and/or increased when character gains a level

Please take the time to sign my petition if you would like The Legend of Dragoon to be remade, and make sure to show this petition to your family and friends, or whoever else might be interested. Lets show Sony that remaking this game would make a lot of people happy. Thanks in advance for your support.

    • I'm very interested in a remake of this great game if sony could definitely offer a new experience with it. I personally think the battle system could use an overhaul while keeping the core element of the battles intact. Maybe also add a way to switch characters on the fly in combat (think Final Fantasy X) Remake as well as a fresh, new LOD title=Improved Sony sales and a Great Idea!!!! I am a fan of sony(always have been) and personally think that if they brought more classic series onto Ps3, then their sales would increase substantially. And when is sony finally gonna learn and switch the d-pad with the left analog. Their controller layout is so last gen. Although, I love everything else about the controller. Finally, where is Twisted Metal??? The fans definitely want it.., so give it to 'em already. Thanx

    • Legend of dragoon is the 1st RPG game I have EVER played and is still one of the very best. I would very VERY much love to see a remake of the game for PS3; from animations, gameplay, music, scenery and character design, along with the humongous advance from the ps1 to ps3 system, the potential and possiblities of this remake can be extraordinary.

    • Definitely about time for a remake. A cult classic, no doubt, with its own fair share of followers that may even rival FF7 (as we all know has been remade as of late...)

    • This game needs atleast a remake. It was too good to just be left in the past, if Sony has any common sense at all they'll one day remake or make a sequel/prequel to this awesome game.

    • The story was beautiful, I can only pray they will make a remake so that the graphics will match the greatness of the story. A wonderful, amazing game. For me it even comes near FFVII.
