Parole Hearing: December, 2009 RE: Mark D. Johnson DOC#00183066

On the night of April 8, 1986, Mark Johnson, age 24, murdered his neighbor and member of the elementary school football team Mark coached for, 15 year-old Thomas Schroeder. That night Johnson provided Tom with alcohol and led Tom to a wooded area when Mark knew Toms family was asleep. Johnson stabbed the child 72 times in the face, head, and chest.
Johnson was convicted of Murder in the first degree.
He was sentenced to Life but is now eligible for parole yearly.
We, the undersigned STRONGLY OPPOSE the release of Johnson. Justice demands he serve the full prison term given to him at the time he was sentenced for this heinous crime.

All names will be kept confidential, only the office of victim services and the parole commissioner will see the petition. The offender will not see this.
