We, the undersigned PHANS request that The Dead's new management allow the New England Organ Bank(www.neob.org) and Donate Life merica(www.donatelife.net)to set up their organ donor awareness booths at the New England Dead shows on this upcoming spring tour. These organizations have traditionally been represented at these venues in the past and have been denied WITHOUT explanation, permission to be present at these shows for the spring 09 Dead tour. For some unnamed reason, the Dead's NEW management company has denied these well respected donor organizations any space at the New England shows. We the undersigned, appreciate the importance of organ donor awareness, and in honor of Phil's liver transplant respectfully demand that these organ donor awareness booths be allowed to set up their tables at all of the venues of the upcoming Dead Spring Tour 09.

- Phil Lesh would not be alive today, and on tour in 09 without his organ doner liver transplant. Let's give back so that others can be around for Spring Tour 10!

- I am very disappointed that this change has been put in place especially in light of Mr. Lesh having to undergo and become the benificiary of an organ transplant. I would personally like to understand the reasoning behind this move. I have supproted The Dead, The Grateful Dead and their many side projects for almost fourty years and now find myself discouraged from the un-family type of impression your action has left me. As a carrier of Hepatitis C I may someday need the very surgery that donor awareness advocates and find this trend with the new management disturbing to say the least. Regards, Whitey-x

- this is borderline ridiculous(which is par for the course for this tour) that we need a petetion to keep the organ doner table at shows

- This is very important in the eyes of many people including myslef and needs to be rethought...my wife who is very sick will one day soon have to be put on that list and i would hope that people would understand the importance of letting in the world on the importance of this organization...also the fact the many musicains have gotten succesful transplants I would think with phil being one of them you all would understand the improtance of this table....

- Let's Do The Right Thing Here Folks. New Management is charging $100 a ticket and not even being socially responsible. This and their appearence on "The View" equates to the ultimate sell out! :-(

- Where would Phil be without Organ donation, is it too much to ask that others share in his good fortune? Perhaps increasing awareness is no longer important issue to the Promoters, but our hope is that it still remains importatnt tothe Band!
