Ontarians with disabilities are growing to outlive their parents.
The percentage of people with disabilities is increasing.
Early intervention services are proven to be the most effective method of increasing the quality of life for a person with a disability.
Most intervention services are offered in the metro areas.
Many families who encompass a child with a disability have increased expenses thus resulting to habitat in rural communities due to lower costs of living.
Only few accessible modes of transportation are offered in metro areas, and even fewer offered to those living in rural communities.
Limited methods of inclusive transportation, limits accessibility to support services. These limitations reduce an individuals quality of life.

Therefore your petitioners respectfully request that your government create publicly funded inclusive modes of transportation accessible in both metro and rural areas.

To provide increased opportunities to access necessary intervention services required to increase the quality of life for those with disabilities.

    • Great idea! Will it cut into politicians slice of the tax pie though?? They won't like that.

    • With the concentration on giving monies to disabilities such as Autism as an example, this should be a natural consideration to the government after all it will aid in increasing the general quality of life of said individuals.
