We, the customers of Talk Talk broadband demand the following:

1. Customer service lines that don't hang up on us.

2. Customer service lines that have wait times of less than 20 minutes.

3. Cheaper technical support with competent employees.

4. Transparent network issue reporting either on the website, or on the phone line.

5. To have our modems and services activated and provided as promised.

6. For billing to cease once we actually cancel our account.

7. For billing to be accurate for the services provided.

8. For direct debits not to be randomly reinstated.

9. For offers to be fulfilled as promised in a reasonable (less than 30 days) amount of time.

10. For our service to be reliable, at least to the point where it will stay up for more than 30 minutes.

11. For our e-mail accounts to be created at the moment of sign up.

12. For port throttling or 'shaping' to be limited to customers actually using more than 40 GB a month.

13. For our online gaming to actually work, with no ports blocked/throttled or shaped.

If you, Carphone Warehouse and Talk Talk cannot do these things, we demand to be released from our contract with you accruing no penalty to ourselves. You have admitted that your products aren't 'keeping up with demand' and your customer service people can't cope, yet you still advertise your products during prime time television. This is misleading, underhanded marketing that penalizes your customers. We deserve better for our money.

    • if a customer wishes to leave your fantastic company please drop the service and stop billing him. I have sent 9 emails and 2 letters (recorded delivery) and was billed and billed and billed and .... ups no more bills but a debt collection agency - hmm mr. Simon Rawlings Head of Credit Control maybe you should speak to Ofcom or to the watchdog how to do business? How many phonecalls have I made to carphone? I cannot prove how many but I spent ages on the phone to either be dropped or here the message - your account has been cancelled - 2 weeks later the next bill - the next call.....

    • I've been a TalkTalk customer since June 2004 and have recommended them to many people in that time. My experience in the last few months with TalkTalk since I signed up for this new 'free' (!) broadband deal has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I'll be joining thoseTalkTalk customers who will be leaving in their droves to find a competent supplier of broadband.

    • Having gone straight to Dunstone, my financial complaint has been resolved, and Talktalk are reimbursing me for costs incurred by their abysmal lack of technical support and expertise following the email containing 562 email addresses of their customers, and which caused my computer to crash twice, and I had to call in an independent IT consultant to clear the viruses and get my computer up and running. Please God, give me strength to exercise patience and tolerance until such time as I can get out of this hell hole called Talktalk - only another 16 months to go. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you who have suffered at the hands of these cowboys.

    • I have never been so stressed about trying to start a SERVICE with a company than I have with talktalk. The hell that I started being fooled by free broadband offer. 4 months on and I have only got landline which I had and was quite happy before joining talktalk. Their customer services give out totally wrong information. One says onething and the next one contradicts the advice and gives you appology. I am fed up and it has cost me so many hours of waiting and being passed from one person to the next. It has been a hell. How do I get out of it. Would they ever be brought to justice for the pain that they have caused for thousands of us whose livelihood depends on using internet and broadband. Would they compensate us for the hours of stress and frustration and the pain they have caused us and still we are no closer to the answer. It is quite annoying as you are waiting on the line and it tells you calling the customer service is free...

    • How can u have a service that offers only online billing when the site hardly ever works. Also the emails work intermitantly so you cant use them. And the connection is limited during the day. And the technical support takes over a week to respond and is just a glorified (slow) answer phone service.

    • It took me 7 attempts to cancel my application (the after I made it ) because the cancellation team (referred to as "customer options" internally) kept on hanging up on me. It's the *worst* service I have ever received from any company. Avoid unless you want a headache.
