    • Having been a fan of SG for all these years, I cannot imagine not having the show, minus it's signature theme. How can you not give respect to the actors by leaving them out of the opening credits? Please restore things to the way they were.

    • I am not so fond of those new short adds. All they do is take away time from the episode and give way to even more ads. Beside I want to finally see Beckett in the Opening credit. Now that he made it to maincast

    • Give us our opening credits BACK!!! To cut the Stargate opening credits is like to cut the intro music from Star Wars, Star Wars without his opeing sequence is not Star Wars anymore, same for Stargate! Bring them back, please!

    • The opening credits on SG-1 have been a welcome feature for 8 long years. The Atlantis credits are just as appealing. The music is beautiful, the clips of the actors and action shots add to the 'draw' of the show. Frankly I consider this an insult not only to the viewers (we get enough commercial brainwashing, thank you), but it's an insult to the production companies, actors, musicians and all the other hard working people associated with these shows. Stop treating these shows as 'step children'! Until BSG came onto the scene, these shows were your golden features. They deserve the same considerations. Shame on you Scifi.

    • Opening credits set the mood, let you know what you're watching, and give a sense of the series every week. Cutting them might give SciFi more time for commercials, but it may deter the casual viewer from tuning in, so that any advertising revenue gained will reach fewer people. Plus, I love the credits! Please put them back.

    • Let me get this straight... you've already taken away the people we loved on the show, you're going to give us people that most of us will no doubt hate, in return taking away more time from Michael, Chris and Amanda and now you want to take away our opening of the show? And not only that opening, but Atlantis's opening too? Have you people completely lost your ever loving minds? What, did you not think fans would care that you're destroying their show more and more each time you people open your mouths? If you honestly think any of us won't miss the opening credits, then you people really need to go and get your heads examined because let me tell you. The opening is what lets people know the show is on. If you don't have us from the beginning of the show, then you don't have us at all. ... It's bad enough that Richard Dean Anderson won't be on the show anymore and that you've gone and turned Stargate SG-1 into Fargate SG-WTF? The fans are who you should be pleasing, not Marketing.

    • I always look forward to the opening themes of any show, particularly SG-1 and Atlantis. Especially Atlantis, when the choir kicks in... it gives it that ancient feel. Great stuff! And I love to see how the opening credits change from year to year, because I think it gives the audience a nice preview to the character when they show clips of that character. I wanted to see the new cast members!

    • The Stargate themes give a taste of the high quality shows by the visually gorgeous clips and the elegant music in the title sequences. It is a travesty that it is being butchered to 10 seconds, just for a product that no one cares about!

    • Ok, if that 50 seconds involve "Bob" commericals, I'm going to puke. I hate those commericals and to have those advertised during my favorite shows of all time and to subject that advertising to my family makes me mad. I took the night off from work just to watch the season premieres and not to here my favorite tv music and sing the SG1 song saddens me. As much as I'm going to miss "seeing" Jack, (yeah I'm sure we will hear his name once in awhile) I think it is unfair to loss one of the most recongizable theme music there is. Also when I rewatched Lost City 2 I heard the Atlantis music, I didn't realize that would be a lead in to the spin off series. I think it is rude and uncalled for. Please bring them back and give the actors their credit.

    • The makers of SG-1 and SGA put a lot of creative work into the credits sequences. The credits do a great deal to establish the artistic feel of the show. It feels insulting to the audience to axe them for such a baldly mercenary reason.
