    • I think that is it awfull to sacrifice show time just to air more commercials instead. Isn't the viewer supposed to come first? We already get twenty minutes worth of commercials right now and that's more than enough.

    • UNBELIEVABLE!!! These shows are GOLD to your network. This is what Sci-Fi does to its fans. Gee, we actually have 2 shows that people actually tune in for on a regular basis. Lets piss off those fans and make them not want to watch our network.. HELLLOOO!!!

    • I would not object to a longer show, but if this is just for more commercial time, please (PLEASE) do not do this. I like watching the entire credits, even the end credits which is almost impossible on a regular sized TV due to more commercials. Please help restore the entire show that we, the viewers, enjoy.

    • Once again, art is being pushed into the rumble seat of the car of commerce. The title themes of Joel Goldsmith and David Arnold are an integral part of the "Stargate" mystique. It's shameful that Sci-Fi is essentially dumping them so it can run more commercials for Cialis or promos for "Curse of the Sabretooth" and "Son of Chupacabra vs. Mansquito." Sci-Fi uses a LOT of its commercial time to promote its own programs, so it's not like the extra 50 seconds are urgently NEEDED to satisfy advertisers who would otherwise go begging. It's bad enough that Goldsmith's beautiful end-title music is always smothered by promo goo that's run five times in the previous hour already. By trashing the main-titles sequences, Sci-Fi is adding (for once) injury to insult. This is a *rotten* idea & I urge you to reverse this very bad decision.

    • Stargate isn't Stargate without the opening theme. It's what defined the original movie and what to this day defines the TV shows. It is a wonderful piece of music that the vast majority of people love to hear. Please keep the themes in at their full length.

    • How could they do this? Why do they feel the opening credits arent significant? These people are crazy and are just looking at everything from a money angle, not bothering to consider all these loyal fans who have been watching the show for years and want the 1min opening sequence back.

    • I can't believe they're getting rid of the themes. They're as much a part of the shows as anything else, and they also happen to be really great pieces of music. SG1's theme, in particular, has been such a recognisable part of the show. It's a huge shame to lose it. Please keep both themes!

    • The Stargate opening sequence is as much a part of the show as the actors themselves. The SG-1 musical score has been with it for 8 years. 8 YEARS!!! It's legendary. It won't be the same without it. So, don't change it!

    • Please don't change the opening sequence. It's an integral part of the show. A 10-second sequence would detract greatly from the show.

    • You know, you've had this program (Stargate SG-1) playing for 8 years, bringing in the viewers and ultimately making you money. SG-1's beginning theme song is an important and integral part of the show, and many of your viewers enjoy it. For something thats doing so well, you seem to have no problem with slashing it. In my opinion, that is dang stupid. What, need to sell more Cialis so you can make an extra buck? Only tells me SciFi cares less about it's viewers, and more about it's money. Which ultimately, will end with SciFi ending up in an early grave. Be smart people, and don't bite the hand that feeds you! Bring back the entirety of the opening credits to Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis!
