We, in the British Mixed Martial Arts Community, have waited for 8 years to receive coverage of the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Pay per view. We finally felt we were being recognised when the UFC's new owners Zuffa announced that they had a new partner in SKY and would hold an event in the UK along with showing all future UFC's.
Now that UFC38 has been and gone SKY have totally gone back on their promises and are not showing UFC 39 on the 27th September 2002 and, apparently, have no intention of showing the biggest event in mixed martial arts history, Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock on November 22nd.
We appreciate that it is too late to organise the broadcast of UFC 39 but the following people all agree to pay the 14.95 that it will cost to show UFC 40 and all the UFC's after that if SKY guarantee to show them.

- The only reason I didn't buy the last one was because I was there. Any UFC in the US I am going to buy for sure. Expecting a rating like a WWE show is pathetic for a first time. Dont replace the weekly show with some carp angling show either, fools.

- Mixed Martial Arts is one of the quickest growing sports in the UK. The UFC is the world's premiere MMA event. There is a huge fanbase in the UK for such events, much of which is due to the popular weekly UFC show you aired. Please screen future UFC events on PPV.

- When the UFC was brought over to England, it was said that Sky would carry all following UFC events. It would be nice for Sky to actually give a reason why this is not now the case, other than the usual "we have no plans at present" reason

- The UFC is the Ultimate in Mixed Martial Arts. Since the UFC was staged in London and with the increase Mixed Martial Arts events in the UK this sport is now beginning to boom. As a club instructor, ex fighter and fan of the sport the intial showing of the UFC on Sky sports done an awful lot to raise the awareness of the sport. Sky sports should be at the front of this boom, instead they have decided to seat back, this will in time be a big mistake. Mixed Martial Arts is here to stay and will grow stronger in the years to come.

- The reason why UFC 38 was possibly underscibed is due to the fact that it wasn't marketed correctly. There should have been more programs giving details and profiles on the fighters that were involved, to show that these are dedicated, professional sportsmen, and it is not just some 'pub brawl'. Also, it will probably take a few shows in order to build the fan-base up - by showing it more in a sporting light rather than a 'freakshow', surely more people would become interested. This is one of the fastest growing sports worldwide, and recently a crowd of approx. 91,000 attended an mma event in Japan - this could be a major attraction to Sky Sports if more effort is made with it. Please show more mma!

- I am subscriber to Sky and would urge you to show future UFC and Pride shows. I believe there is an audience for mixed matial arts. How about axing some of those meaningless 'championship' boxing matches in favour of the UFC or Pride. Thank you.

- Not only is UFC 40 the biggest UFC event ever, it will attract much attention from casual and non-fans as the main event features non other than the worlds most dangerous man Ken Shamrock. He will be a huge draw to the public due to his seminal WWF (now wwe fame).
