We the owners and/or users and/or prospective users of UMAX scanners and other hardware formally request native Mac OS X hardware and software support for the entire UMAX range of products. This means we want full featured drivers for every technologically current and new scanner UMAX makes as well as software which allows us to accomplish the intended tasks of the product as was offered when purchased.

We feel UMAX has a timely responsibility to provide continuing support for new operating systems and this feeling is one of the many factors relied upon when choosing a UMAX product. We stress that lack of Mac OS X support will reduce the likelihood we will buy another UMAX product.

    • My company has long supported UMAX over HP, Agfa, Microtek, et al, and if our current UMAX hardware does not receive OS X support, we will have no choice but to seek replacements. Even if new UMAX units support X, if our old ones don't, we'll understand the message UMAX is sending us.
