Taking another man's life for absolutely no reason is inhuman and uncivilized. Sarabjit Singh deserves a fair trial - he deserves proper legal representation - one that will use their intimate knowledge of the Pakistani judicial system to prove his innocence and if innocent to secure his freedom.

International and local news organizations have reported that Sarabjit's petition before Pakistan's Supreme Court was not upheld because his counsel failed to turn up for the hearing!!

At the very least, the Pakistani establishment owes it to its own people and mankind that Pakistan is not a failed state and there is still the rule of law in that land.

Sarabjit Singh deserves a fair trial - this is the least that a civilized society can do before sending an accused to the gallows.

    • Sarabjit is innocent, he's been made a scapegoat to create a bargaining tool by pak to exchange convicted terrorists. pak needs to be serious to restore peace in the country and its neighbours.indians have shown their large heart by integrating scores of citizens in shows in india, travel, trade and commerce. thats a goodwill gesture, which needs to be reciprocated. people from both countries want peace. the deal breakers are the hardliners.

    • India has never used aggressive intentions against its neighbours. China and Pakistan are barbaric and criminal states. Free Sarabjit as he may not have done anything wrong.
